A while ago I ran across a photographer in Wyoming: Michelle Kane. She came up with a fun idea to do photo exchanges with photographers around the world. I fell in love with the idea, and immediately emailed her so I could participate. She had many post with different photographers and their exchanges. For whatever reason she stopped doing them {probably cause she came out with some amazing Actions and is crazy busy with her mentoring} ..I was bummed. With her permission I have decided to continue on the Photo exchange. The thing I love most is being able to see your photo and what someone else can do with it. Even though I have done photography professional for 3 years I still love to click back and forth and back and forth between sooc and edited and than call my husband over and make him look at them too.. You know you do it too! I am hoping there are enough photographers out there that love this idea as much as I do and want to participate. Whether your semi or pro-photographer, anyone is welcome to participate.
So here’s what I need you to do. Put together an image board with a handful of images, about 5-7 SOOC {straight out of camera shots –See sample below} that you are wanting to exchange with another photographer. Label each image with letters and put your name or studio name and location on the board as well. Keep the file somewhat manageable so it can be emailed easily…. like 5-7 MB. Email the image boards to me. I will use these to match up photographers and the photographers will use them to select the image they want to edit. Once I’ve put you in contact with your exchange partner, you can let them know which image you selected and they can send you the file (SOOC), sized at 5-6 MB. You will edit the others’ image, label them edited and sooc, email them back to the owner and to me as well and then post them on your blog, linking back to both the exchange photographer and to my blog. If you do not have a blog, no worries, they will be seen here.

If you are interesting in taking part in the photo exchange, please leave a comment below or email me at Brittany@myframedphotography{.}com, and I will contact you. I will be setting up exchanges with various photographers (so the exchange will not always be with me). Rules are as follows:
• If the exchange takes place between two different photographers, not including myself, you are required to submit your blog images to me to post here on my blog. Essentially, it will be a great way to get featured through my site.
• You must post the before and afters on your blog.
• You must properly credit the other photographer and are required to link to the other photographer’s site.
• You are not permitted to sell the other photographer’s edited image without prior written consent.
• Try to keep your SOOC and edited images to around 5-6 MB for easy emailing.
That’s it! I am so excited to be able to continue this on and hope that we will be able to get inspired by some awesome work! Can’t wait for the exchanges!
